Colu Henry is a food-lifestyle expert, native New Yorker, avid home cook, and occasional chanteuse. She is currently working on her first cookbook, Back Pocket Pasta, which will be published by Clarkson Potter in spring 2017. When not waiting for pasta water to boil, Colu spends her time in caftans, reporting on whatever catches her eye and sipping and eating wherever she can.

Colu spent her early days working in the fashion and lifestyle world at Full Picture PR, but found herself drawn to food, wine and restaurants. She went on to spend six years representing high-profile chefs like Marcus Samuelsson, Kurt Gutenbrunner, and Scott Conant and eventually followed her passion for Pinot Noir to Oregon, where she helped spearhead PR for the Oregon Wine Board.

A whole lot of wine later, Colu joined Bon Appétit, first as the Director of Public Relations and eventually becoming the Director of Special Projects. She drew on her love of food, drink, music, fashion and the art of eating out (and in) to help build Bon Appétit into one of the worlds most progressive food-lifestyle brands. She has also worked with actor Kyle MacLachlan doing PR for his Bordeaux-inspired cabernet Pursued by Bear from Walla Walla, WA.

In 2014, tapped through her Instagram feed, Colu was an international judge for the Argentine Wine Awards in Mendoza. Her writing has appeared in publications such as Refinery29, Cherry Bombe and Wine Enthusiast. Colu has also completed Fine Cooking One at the Institute of Culinary Education. She splits her time between Brooklyn & Hudson, New York with her husband Chad and their dog Josh.
